Cheltenham Paddy Power Gold Cup Day 2012
Kayf Aramis had his first race of the season at Cheltenham on Paddy Power Gold Cup Day November 17th 2012
14 Members were Kayf Aramis' Owners for the day and joined Nigel Twiston-Davies in the pre-parade and parade ring.
4 Members enjoyed a free 3 course lunch in the Owners Marquee.
Visits to Nigel Twiston-Davies Yard to Watch the Horses on the Gallops
KayfAramisRacing organised a visit to Nigel Twiston-Davies' yard for Hartpury Equine students. They were all very excited and even came on their day off. The students enjoyed a tour of the yard and a talk by Carl Llewellyn about training techniques used for different horses.
Interestingly, the students are studying the use of heart monitors to assess a horse’s fitness after a gallop, whereas Carl reported that Nigel Twiston-Davies just listens to them breathing after their gallop! Judging from the NTD yard’s success, it would seem the old methods are still the best!
York Dante Festival 17th May 2012
Congratulations to the winners of the owner's tickets who joined Kayf Aramis in the parade ring at York! We cheered Kayf Aramis on, sadly he didn't get the run of the race, but he enjoyed his day.
One member writes:
“What an amazing day I had at York with Kayf Aramis & crew! Owners & trainers lounge with prime viewing of the course & if that wasn’t enough off into the parade ring to watch Kayf strut his stuff!! Thankyou to Isobel, Gary, Carl for making the day a magical one & a special mention to Becky who had Kayf shining like a new pin! Def a day to remember! Thank you!”
and another:
“it was a great day, despite the race outcome,I had never been to York before but really enjoyed it,and yourself and all the other members were very friendly indeed, and made me feel welcome"
New member Adam says “I think it represents great value and I'm looking forward to following the thrills and spills, trials and tribulations of the horses."
Lambourn Open day 2012
Lambourn Open Day 2012 was great fun! Among the entertaining events were camel racing and a schooling display by top jockeys. It was lovely to meet up with some newly joined KayfAramisRacing members.
